Duke Of Orange backed to rule at Chepstow

DUKE OF ORANGE has been backed to make a winning handicap debut at Chepstow this afternoon for the in-form Mick Channon yard.

Fifth last time out at Yarmouth, the three-year-old drops back to 6f and is a very solid favourite, now around 6-4 having been 11-4 earlier in the day.

There are a lot of non-runners on the card at Chepstow, with 16 out already.

At Lingfield, there has been a run of money for Elegant Ophelia in the 1m4f handicap (3.10).

A nine-race maiden, the four-year-old is yet to finish out of the first three in three runs at the track, and is now generally 4-1 having been as big as 9-1.
