TWICE OVER was among a small party of British-trained horses who arrived safely in Dubai on Sunday evening as the countdown to Saturday's World Cup night begins.
The US$10 million Dubai World Cup is Twice Over's target and trainer Henry Cecil will fly out to Dubai on Tuesday to supervise final preparations.
Cecil, who landed the Group 3 Winter Derby with Tranquil Tiger at Lingfield on Saturday, said: "Twice Over arrived safely and drank a lot of water on the plane. He has travelled well and settled in nicely."
The Sir Michael Stoute-trained duo Spanish Moon and Confront, like Twice Over owned by Khalid Abdullah, also travelled on the same flight, as did the John Gosden-trained Dar Re Mi who runs in the Dubai Sheema Classic.
Gosden said: "They travelled on a cargo plane from Heathrow and arrived in Dubai at 10.30pm last night. They are now stabled in the International barn which is about a 25 minute walk for them to the racecourse."
Finjaan also arrived at the same time on a separate flight and joined them at the International stables.
Trainer Marcus Tregoning said: "Finjaan runs in the Al Quoz. He had a good journey and travelled well."
