LEAHURST is out of the Group 1 Golden Shaheen at Meydan on Dubai World Cup night on March 27 after suffering an injury in training.
The four-year-old son of Verglas had been one of the stars of the Dubai Carnival this year, winning both of his starts at Meydan, and had earned a major step up in class after slamming Prince Shaun five-and-three-quarter lengths off a mark of 109 in a 6f handicap last month.
However, Leahurst was pulled up lame after a gallop in Dubai on Wednesday and was found to have fractured a bone in his leg.
Jeremy Noseda said: "Leahurst is injured and won't run in the Golden Shaheen. We will take a view when he getshome and, at the moment, that hasn't been decided precisely but it will be after the World Cup."
