Charitable Man sends Kentucky Derby warning

CHARITABLE MAN, who broke his duck at the first time of asking last month at Saratoga by more than 11 lengths, came from sixth of seven to win by a length over 20-1 chance Flying Pegasus. Sent away the 7-5 favourite under Alan Garcia, the winner is trained by Kiaran McLaughlin.

Garcia said: "Kiaran picked this one because the other one (fourth-placed Girolamo) is going to Dubai and this one is going to stay here. “He wants to go longer. He's going to the Kentucky Derby."

DOREMEFASOLLATIDO gave track announcer Tom Durkin a chance to sing to his audience as she split horses after entering the stretch and ran on to a two-length victory as the 34-10 second choice.

Heavenly Vision, sent away the 2-1 favourite, could finish only fifth in the field of nine. Eibar Coa rode the winner for trainer James Jerkens.

Belmont Park : Noble Damsel Handicap (Turf Fillies & Mares' Grade 3) 1m 3yo+

CRIMINOLOGIST, sent away the 13-10 favoruite under Edgar Prado, came late to gain a head victory over pacesetter and 13-1 chance Waquoit's Love.

French invader Sefroua closed from sixth of eight to finish third as the 37-10 second choice. Shug McGaughey trains the winner.
