Doncaster to inspect ahead of Saturday card

DONCASTER will inspect at 7.30am on Saturday morning ahead of racing due to forecast temperatures of -3C. Groundstaff will try and re-cover the entire course after racing finishes on Friday ahead of Saturday's card.

Acting clerk of the course Gemma Carrington said: "We are forecast between -1C and -4C. Obviously if we get -4C it could put the meeting in some doubt. It is the exact same situation as wefaced yesterday with this morning's inspection."

The seven race card is due to get underway at 12.40pm and contains three Grade 2 races with the ground described as good, good to firm in places before Friday's card got underway.
