Dominant Nicholls yet to decide on Lanzarote team
CHAMPION trainer Paul Nicholls dominates the market for Saturday's William Hill Lanzarote Hurdle but all three of his entries, who sit towards the head of the market, are yet to be confirmed as certain runners at Kempton.
Sire Collonges, winner ofhis one career start at Auteuil is as short as 7-1 for the 2m5f contest but Nicholls will wait until seeing him work on Thursday morning before deciding on his participation.
Speaking on At The Races, hesaid on Wednesday: "He is a horse who had one run at Auteuil in the spring. It wasn't much of a race but he made all and won. I don't really know what he is.
"He has a mark of 127 which is workable off. He is in on Saturday and I am going to work him tomorrow morning just to see whether he is ready to run but he is definitely a horse for the future when he jumps fences in the autumn."
Organisateur, who is co-favourite at 10-1 with some firms will carry top weight if he takes his chance but Nicholls has concerns about his ability to give weightall-round.
He added: "He has not exactly been well treated. He is now on a mark of 154. He has gone up 21lb for winning at Taunton and I think he is on a mark now that is very hard to win with, so I have just got to talk to the owners about whether we let him take his chance or find another race for him.
"I think he has a lot on his plate but we may have to look at something like the Cleeve Hurdle."
Like Minded, is a best priced 12-1 for the race and Nicholls said: "He has been off for a long while. I need to have a discussion with the owners and decide."
