GODOLPHIN revealed on Friday that Frankie Dettori will ride the Mahmood Al Zarooni-trained Lyric Of Light in the Qipco 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket on Sunday.
Mickael Barzalona is booked to partner her stablemate Discourse after the pair were among the final 18 declared for the fillies' Classic.
Lyric Of Light, a general 7-1 chance, ended last season with a close victory in the Group 1 Shadwell Fillies' Mile at Newmarket.
Discourse, an 8-1 shot for Sunday's race, made a big impression when winning the Group 3 Sweet Solera Stakes on her second and final outing of the year.
Godolphin's tweet read: "L Dettori rides Lyric Of Light in the Qipco 1,000 Guineas with M Barzalona on Godolphin'sother hope Discourse in the Newmarket fillies' Classic."
The Coolmore-owned trio Fire Lily, Up and Wonderful were the three taken out of the field at Friday's final confirmation stage.
David Wachman, who trains Fire Lily, said: "We're toying with going to France with her."
Golden Lilac was a notable non-runner in the Group 3 Qatar Bloodstock Dahlia Stakes on the samecard
Her trainer Andre Fabre said: "She's not going because of the ground. Instead she'll run in the Prix d'Ispahan [at Longchamp on May 27]."
