Diamondhead expected to shine at Ffos Las
DIAMONDHEAD has been all the rage to notch a second win in three starts in the 4.10 at Ffos Las this afternoon.
The Ed de Giles-trained four-year-old failed to sparkle on his most recent start on the all-weather but punters are clearly expecting a lot better on this return to turf. Put in as a 12-1 chance overnight and opening at 7-1 generally this morning, he is now a general 7-2 shot.
Also at Ffos Las, Sunblazer is now no bigger than 100-30 (and as short as 9-4) for the 4.40 having been available to back at 6-1 earlier.
There has also been significant support for Manderley in Kempton's 7.15. Representing the always popular Richard Hannon/Richard Hughes combination she has been cut to a low of 9-4 from a high of 7-1 first thing.
The day's feature race is the Listed EBF Upavon Filles' Stakes which takes place at Salisbury at 3.55 in which the William Haggas-trained Rock Choir has come in for notable support and is now trading at around the 9-4 mark having been as big as 6-1.
