DELIGHTFUL SLEEP has been cut by bookmakers to put the 7f apprentice handicap (4.20) at Lingfield to bed on Thursday.
Trained by David Evans, Delightful Sleep has put in three dozy performances in as many runs to day being beaten 46 lengths, 18 lengths and 21 lengths.
However, he would appear to have woken up at home and has been slashed to 6-1 (from 20) with Blue Square bet, 6-1 (from 18) with BetVictor, 6-1 (from 16) with Paddy Power and 6-1 (from 14) with Coral.
The four-year-old has not been seen since running three times in February and is dropping down to 7f having run over 1m5f and 1m1f twice.
The other runner attracting attention on Thursday morning is Theodore Lamb in the 2.10 at Stratford, a 2m1½f handicap chase.
The Paul Webber-trained runner is 7-2 (from 13-2) with Paddy Power, 3-1 (from 5) with Blue Square bet and 7-2 (from 6) with bet365.
