Holland 'likely to appear in court on Thursday'
JOCKEY Darryll Holland, in custody in Northern Cyprus following an incident involving counterfeit notes, is likely to appear in court on Thursday, according to Peter Merchant, his father-in-law and manager.

Picture: Martin LynchMerchant said on Sunday: "We are all in complete shock over what has happened to Darryll. [His wife] Jacqueline is in Barbados on a business trip and has been crying her eyes out.
"It looks like his case will now be heard on Thursday. At the moment all we can do is await an update from his lawyers to find out what is happening."
The jockey was arrested last Tuesday along with another man, named as John Tabor, reportedly in the coastal town of Kyrenia. Holland, 37, pleaded not guilty when initially questioned.
