Crowded House set to run on turf once more

CROWDED HOUSE's connections are eyeing another turf race later this month after the four-year-old's comeback last week at Meydan.

Trainer Brian Meehan's assistant Patrick McEwan is supervising the five-strong Manton team at the Dubai Carnival.

He reported Crowded House, who hadn't run since finishing sixth in the Derby, in great form after his second place behind Alexandros in Thursday's Al Rashidiya.

"He has taken the race very well - we were all delighted with that performance," said McEwan.

Although Crowded House is quoted in betting for the Dubai World Cup on the all-weather on March 27, the 2008 Racing Post Trophy winner is likely to stay on grass next time out.

"He was fine after the race and the outing should have brought him on a lot," said McEwan. "The boss is back in the UK but is looking at February 18 for the horse's next run.

"We will stick to the turf and hopefully he can have a good carnival and get invited for World Cup night."
