OFFICIALS at Ayr have decided to cover all vulnerable areas at night before their two-day meeting, which starts on Friday.
Hazel Peplinski, clerk of the course at Ayr, said on Monday: "We are taking precautions by covering all the vulnerable areas at night, and removing them by day.
"If the forecasters are right, temperatureswill not be as severe later in the week as they are on Monday and Tuesday night so we are hopeful."
Frost covers have been deployed at Kempton and Bangor, both of whom race on Friday, while the course at Warwick is also being covered in advance of Saturday's fixture.
