THERE will be no jump racing in Britain for the third day running as both Huntingdon and Taunton cancelled their respective fixtures for Thursday on Wednesday morning.
Huntingdon's inspection was scheduled for 8am, but clerk of the course Sulekha Varma called the meeting off just after 7.30am.
She said: "It was a fairly simple decision. We got to minus seven last night and there is no prospect of improvement. The majority of the track is frozen and around forty percent of the track is still snow covered."
At Taunton temperatures reached -5.8C leaving the course frozen in places, and with the forecast not offering sufficient encouragement before Thursday, the decision to abandon the fixture was taken on Wednesday morning at 8.30am.
