Frozen Ludlow abandons Thursday card
LUDLOW has been forced to abandon its fixture for Thursday after an inspection on Tuesday found the course to be frozen in places with little prospect of improvement.
Clerk of the course BobDavies said on Tuesday afternoon: "In places the track is frozen down to six inches so it was bit of a no-brainer.
"There has only been two days since November 24 when we have been raceable, and it's not until Friday whenthings look like they might improve with some warm rain coming up from the south."
The next scheduled meeting at the course is due to be Thursday January 20.
