LOTS OF MEMORIES produced a near-perfect round of jumping when destroying a field of six in the Grade 3 novice hurdle at odds of 7-4.

The Paul Fahey-trained six-year-old, who was beaten by Indevan last time out, reversed the form in comfortable fashion and despite the mount of Ruby Walsh falling three from home, he was highly unlikely to make any impression on the impressive winner.

Jockey Shane Butler had his mount prominent throughout as he tracked the early leader Old Kilcash before hitting the front four from home with his rivals unable to go with him.

"He is very good," said Butler. "And anything he does hurdling is a bonus as he's a real chaser. They went slow early and I wanted a lead - you saw how he was when he hit the front. He'll go on any ground bar firm."

Despite a small mistake at the third last hurdle, Lots Of Memories was full of running and jumped the last two hurdles with his ears pricked to win by ten lengths.

Last year's victor Our Vinnie beat the eventual Neptune runner-up Rule The World by a head and Lots Of Memories will hope to follow in the footsteps of that classy duo.
