RECKLESS ABANDON gave Clive Cox his second big winner of the weekend as the two-year-old extended his unbeaten record to four starts when making all for Gerald Mosse.

The juvenile continued his rise through the grades, with the Morny coming on top of a brace of Group 2 wins in the Norfolk at Royal Ascot, and Prix Robert Papin last time out at Maisons-Laffitte.
Although not without his quirks, the colt has an abundance of talent, and once Mosse got over to the rail from stall eight, the race was effectively over, as the jockey dictated the pace then kicked again with a furlong to go.
The rail helped keep Reckless Abandon straight as a die, as he did not hang as he had at Ascot, although he did get a bit stirred up at the start.
It proved to be a good race for the European raiders, with Ballydoyle filling the places courtesy of George Vancouver and Parliament Square.
Cox said: "Mentally he has his own ideas sometimes but he's very talented and we're very happy. I'm very happy to hear Gerald call him a champion. We've taken gentle steps with him from five furlongs to five and a half in the Papin and this is his first time over six, so if Gerald is happy with that so am I.
"I'm very happy with him at home I think he's making excellent progress at home and I'm delighted he's now a Group 1 winner and unbeaten."
