Chepstow: forced to cancel after rain left the track waterlogged on Friday

OFFICIALS at Chepstow have been forced to cancel the track's fixture on Friday after heavy rain left parts of the course waterlogged.
An inspection was held at 11.30am but a decision was taken to cancel the seven-race card, which was due to get under way at 4.40pm.
The track tweeted: "Unfortunately we've had to abandoned this evening's race meeting due to the track being waterlogged in places & further rain forecast later."
The course was hit by 12mm of rain on Friday morning.
