Ryanair entries feature shock winner Original

SHOCK Grade 2 winner Original was among 48 entries for the Ryanair Chase at Cheltenham on March 12.

Sent off at 66-1, the giant seven-year-old, trained by Marcel Rolland in France, blew away his rivals in the Wayward Lad Novices' Chase at Kempton last month with the minimum of fuss and could bid for another upset should he take his place in the Grade 1 contest.

Last year's winner Our Vic, who has been targeted at the race all season, was also among the possible contenders, as was the current Order of Merit leader Snoopy Loopy, who also holds a Gold Cup entry, and the Paul Nicholls sextet of Takeroc, Gwanako, Oslot, Silverburn, Natal and Noland.

Ireland boast 13 potential representatives including Colm Murphy's dual Grade 1 winner Big Zeb and Tom Taaffe's Jewson Handicap hero Finger Onthe Pulse, who is one of three entered by the trainer.
