Gloucestershire police are interested in any information about the whereabouts of Philip Lucas, who stands 5ft 6in and was wearing a blue coat and blue hat. He walks with a limp, the result of a knee operation.

He is staying at Cranham, near Gloucester, but did not return on Tuesday night.

The last definite sighting of the missing man was at 5.50pm close to the grandstand.

"Police received a possible sighting of Philip at the Kings Arms in Prestbury at approximately 11.15pm but there has been no confirmed information about his whereabouts," said a police spokesman.

"Officers are concerned for Mr Lucas’s welfare and are asking him, or anyone who sees him, to call Gloucestershire Police by dialling 101."
