Followers of Pricewise were also celebrating with the winner selected at 25-1, the price he returned under Davy Condon.
Wearing first-time blinkers, Flaxen Flare appeared on the scene approaching the final furlong and had far too much for the Paul Nicholls pair Caid Du Berlais and Ptit Zig, who claimed second and third with Milord fourth.
Elliott said: "I was delighted with his run the first day but the next two he was disappointing. I was panicking I thought he went through too soon.
"We've hit the goalposts with a few of them this week. It is great to get a winner."
