Godolphin out for more Sweet Solera success

GODOLPHIN will be gunning for a fourth successive win in the Group 3 German-Thoroughbred.com Sweet Solera Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday when leading Qipco 1,000 Guineas fancy Certify will try to make it two wins from two starts.

The daughter of Elusive Quality made an exciting debut at the same course on July 12 when she quickened clear inside the final furlong to take a 6f maiden by three lengths.

She earned quotes of 20-1 for next season's Classic off the back of that effort and trainer Mahmood Al Zarooni said: "Certify won her maiden well and she has been in good form since then.

"I think that seven furlongs will be no problem. She was going away from the field at Newmarket and I expect the step up in distance to suit her.

"It was soft ground for her debut but she should have no problem with faster going. She works on Tapeta at home and that surface rides quite quickly.

"She has done nothing wrong so far and now we have to find out how good she is."

Certify faces seven fillies including unbeaten Listed scorer Sky Lantern, nursery winner Redressthebalance and Listed runner-up Savanna La Mar.

Godolphin won the race with Discourse last year, White Moonstone in 2010 and Long Lashes the year before as well as with Kareymah back in 1998.
