Catterick: officials cancelled 8am inspection after avoiding snow and frost

TODAY'S meeting at Catterick has been given the go-ahead after an 8am inspection was cancelled but Plumpton has abandoned due to waterlogging.

Catterick avoided snow and frost overnight, while the situation at Plumpton was a lot worse with 33mm of rain in the last 24 hours.
Plumpton (@plumptonraces) tweeted: "Very disappointed to announce we are abandoning today's meeting due to waterlogging following 33mm of rain in the last 24 hours."
After 5mm of rain, the going at Catterick is soft, good to soft in places with a dry day forecast and the card starting at 2.05.
The other meeting, due off at 2.30, is at Wolverhampton where it is standard.
