Wolverhampton: Irish-trained runner well supported in opener

THE opening contest at Wolverhampton, a 1m4f amateur riders' handicap (2.10), has seen Irish raider Faranadooney slashed for victory.

Trained by Shane Duffy, Faranadooney has yet to win on the Flat scored over hurdles at Listowel in the summer.
The six-year-old is 9-2 (from 16) with Boylesports, 5-1 (from 14) with Coral, 5-1 (from 12) with Ladbrokes and 11-2 (from 10) with BetVictor.
Jumps racing returns to Southwell on Monday and Wychwoods Brook back been cut to odds-on to land the 2m4½f novice hurdle (2.50).
The Graeme McPherson-trained runner was second to Red Devil Boys at Doncaster in December and is 10-11 (from 5-4) with BetVictor.
Bet365 make him a 9-10 chance (from 6-5), while he is 5-6 (from 11-10) with Ladbrokes and Boylesports and 10-11 (from 6-5) with Betfred.
