Carlisle could inspect before Wednesday card

FALLING temperatures may force officials at Carlisle to inspect before racing at the course on Wednesday.

The track was described as raceable on Monday afternoon where vulnerable areas of the track are covered.

However, with temperatures forecast to reach -3C at night, an inspection on Wednesday morning has not been ruled out.

Clerk of the course Andrew Tulloch, said: "We are raceable at the moment, but we will keep an eye on the forecast on Tuesday.

"I would have thought we could end up having a precautionary inspection on Wednesday morning."
