Noble Hachy puts Classic credentials on the line
Preview: Italy, Sunday, 3.50pm BST
Capannelle: Premio Carlo Chiesa (Group 3) 6f, turf, 3yo+, fillies and mares
Noble Hachy (Luigi Riccardi/Cristian Demuro) puts her Classic credentials to the test when she takes on11 rivals in the first Group race of the season in Italy.
Unbeaten in three starts, Noble Hachy made a winning return over this course and distance last month, with subsequent winner Belly To Belly (Stefano Botti/Fabio Branca) back in fourth.
A daughter of Kyllachy, Noble Hachy established herself as a likely sort for the Premio Regina Elena (Italian 1,000 Guineas) when sluicing home by six lengths from fair yardsticks Light Lustre and Killachy Loose in a Listed race at this track last summer.
Among the opposition on Sunday is the four-year-old Adamantina (Claudio Colombi/Endo Botti), runner-up in last season's Regina Elena but without a victory since her two-year-old days.
Victory here for Noble Hachy will see her go straight to the first fillies Classic at Capannelle, Rome on April 29.
