Grand Prix plan for cosy Listed winner Solemia

Report: France, Thursday

Longchamp: Prix Lord Seymour (Listed) 1m4f, 4yo+

SOLEMIA (Carlos Laffon-Parias/Olivier Peslier) looks like a filly to follow after she sailed home on her seasonal reappearance.

After an injury-plagued year at three, the daughter of Poliglote showed what she was capable of when chasing home Vadamar in the Prix du Conseil de Paris inOctober.

On this showing there could be more to come and after Peslier had eased Solemia to the front in the false straight, he had few worries on his way to a four-length success over the race-fit Griraz.

"She's a filly who had a lot of health problems last season and wasn't right until the end of the year," said Laffon-Parias. "But in her last race and again today she showed she's an improving filly."

Two of the last three winners of the Lord Seymour have gone on to score in the Group 3 Prix d'Hedouville back at Longchamp in just under three weeks time.

While that race could be on Solemia's agenda, the trainer is already looking ahead to bigger things.

"In principle we'll see about the Hedouville," he continued."But if she needs a little longer to get over this race then she could go straight to the Grand Prix de Chantilly."

Laffon-Parias won that Group 2 at his home track last year with Silver Pond.
