PREMIO LOCO could return to Goodwood for the Totesport.com Celebration Mile next month after finishing third to crack milers Canford Cliffs and Rip Van Winkle in Wednesday's Sussex Stakes.
Supplemented at a cost of £19,500, the Chris Wall-trained Premio Loco was just over three lengths behind the pair on his first foray into Group 1 company.
He returned with a cut, but Wall reported him on the mend and nominated the Group 2 Celebration Mile on August 28 as a possible target - providing the ground is suitable.
Wall, who saddled Citrus Star to win a 7f handicap at Glorious Goodwood on Thursday, said: "He was a bit stiff and sore, as you would expect, but he seemed to come out of the race okay.
"We'll take it easy with him for the next ten days, but his most likely objective is the Celebration Mile.
"We'll have to see about the ground though, as he likes top of the ground."
Premio Loco, who runs in the colours of Bernard Westley, began his summer campaign in fine style, winning a Newmarket Group 3 before landing the Group 2 Totesport.com Summer Mile at Ascot.
