Premio Loco (orange silks): seven furlongs is not his optimum trip

PREMIO LOCO will work tomorrow morning in preparation for the Group 2 Park Stakes at Doncaster's St Leger meeting on Saturdayweek.
The Chris Wall-trained six-year-old was last seen in action when finishing a highly creditable third to Canford Cliffs in the Group 1 Sussex Stakes at Goodwood at the end of July.
Connections had hoped to return to the Sussex course for the Celebration Mile last weekend until the heavens opened and the ground eased.
Wall said: "We will give Premio Loco a good blow Friday morning and see how is, but the plan is to go for the Park Stakes at Doncaster.
"Seven furlongs is not his optimum trip and ideally he wants a mile but he won the Criterion Stakes over seven at Newmarket on his reappearance and if effective at it."
