Arc 2012 is long-term target for Belo Acteon
Brazil: An international career with the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe as the long-term target is under consideration for Grande Premio Brasil winner Belo Acteon.
Brazilian bloodstock agent Renato Gameiro said an international career is in the offing for the colt, who arrived in the US on September 5 and will be conditioned by French-born Christophe Clement upon completing his quarantine period in Florida.
"We are looking to run two races in the United States, then the Dubai Sheema Classic and the King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes as we did with Brazilian champion Hard Buck, who was second in both races," said Gameiro, who will manage the four-year-old colt international campaign on behalf of owner-breeder Aluizio Merlin Ribeiro´s Stud H&R.
"If all goes according to plan, we will continue the sequence in the Grosser Preis von Baden culminating with the Arc."
Trained in Brazil by Dulcino Guignoni, Belo Acteon won or placed in five of six starts, including winning his final two starts capped by his victory in July in the Grande Premio Brasil, Rio de Janeiro's most valuable race.
