Blackstairmountain will represent trainer Willie Mullins in the Galway Plate

LAST year's Galway Plate winner Blazing Tempo misses Wednesday's showpiece and will run instead in the Guinness Galway Hurdle on Thursday.

Her trainer Willie Mullins will be represented in the Plate by 5-1 favourite Blackstairmountain, the mount of Ruby Walsh who will be bidding for a third win in the race.
Three-time Grade 1-winner Follow The Plan heads the list of 22 declared runners for the Tote-sponsored 2m6f event.
Finger Onthe Pulse, winner of the race in 2010 and who is one of seven JP McManus-owned horses declared, is due to run in the 4.30 at Galway on Tuesday.
Three of those, Torphichen, Shot From Hip and Osana, are trained by Edward O'Grady who will also be represented by Out Now, runner-up in this year's Irish Grand National. O'Grady will be seeking a fourth win in the race. He was last successful with Rugged Lucy in 1981.
