Australia: Trainer Peter Moody has confirmed a start in the Group 1 Goodwood at Morphettville on May 12 for Royal Ascot-bound Black Caviar.
Moody said the Goodwood had been locked in but also did not rule out the possibility of also starting Black Caviar in the A$400,000 Sportingbet Classic at Morphettville on April 29 before the $500,000 Goodwood.
Moody said the Adelaide program for the mare will be resolved after she takespart in a racecourse workout at Caulfield next Tuesday.
"She'll have a spin around at Caulfield on Tuesday morning," he said. "We're very positive for Adelaide. I would say we'll definitely be in the Goodwood. It's a just a matter of deciding on the option of the Sportingbet Classic beforehand."
The Group 1 Sportingbet Classic over 6f is run under weight-for-age conditions for fillies and mares while the Goodwood over the same course and distance is run at set weights plus penalties.
Black Caviar, the winner of all her 19 races, is to be flown to England after the Goodwood for the Diamond Jubilee Stakes on June 23 and the July Cup at Newmarket on July 14.
She shares the Australasian city record of 19 consecutive wins with Desert Gold and Gloaming.
On Wednesday, a Redoute's Choice half-sister to Black Caviar was sold for A$2.6 million at the Australian Easter Yearling Sale.
Her unbeaten two-year-old half-brother All Too Hard is odds-on favourite to win his first Group 1 in Saturday's Sires' Produce Stakes at Randwick.
