DESPITE the rival attractions of Perth and Punchestown, Tom Scudamore heads for Auteuil on Wednesday to take two rides for boss David Pipe.
Big Occasion has won two of his four starts for Pipe following a career on the Flat with Aidan O'Brien andfaces 10 opponents in the five-year-old conditions hurdle over 2m3½f (1.35pm BST).
Big Occasion is dropping back in trip considerably after finishing down the field in the Albert Bartlett Novice Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival on his most recent start.
Among his chief market rivals, Sagakit (Yann Porzier/ Christophe Pieux) looks the biggest danger as his sights are lowered having finished ninth behind the impressive Formosa Joana Has in a Group 3 last time.
Half an hour later Pipe and Scudamore are back in action with Taratata Sivola in a claiming hurdle over 2m1½f.
The five-year-old has plenty of experience of Auteuil courtesy of his former handler Thomas Trapenard and has been campaigned largely in novice chases since joining his new trainer last summer.
