Cima De Triomphe makes winning return

Report: Italy, Sunday

San Siro

CIMA DE TRIOMPHE, formerly trained in Britain by Luca Cumani, made an impressive return to action following a summer break at San Siro on Sunday.

Now trained by Bruno Grizzetti in Italy, the Teruya Yoshida-owned five-year-old recorded a three-length victory in the Premio Ricardo Zanocchio, a 1m2f conditions event.

The 47-100 favourite who was ridden by Dario Vargiu, will now be aimed at the Group 3 Premio Federico Tesio back at this track in a fortnight's time.

Jockey Umberto Rispoli has suffered a blow with the news that he will no longer be riding for owners Scuderia Siba. However, he will continue to be associated with the stable of Stefano and Aldunino Botti, and ride most of their runners.
