Ayr inspection cancelled as racing gets green light
AYR will race on Monday after clerk of the course Emma Marley cancelled a planned 8am inspection and gave the meeting the all clear after a dry night.
Marley said: "There was absolutely no need to inspect. We touched -1C overnight but it was already 1C when we arrived and it is 3C now. We are forecast 5C with cloud cover and a chance of rain.
"I have changed the going to good, good to soft in places, the GoingStick on the hurdles course is 7.6, while it is 7.7 on the chase course."
The seven-race card starts at 12.30.
