ASCOT'S meeting on Saturday, which was due to feature the Grade 1 Victor Chandler Chase, has been abandoned due to snow.

Officials at the track had planned to inspect at 4.30pm on Friday but snowfall throughout the morning resulted in them calling the meeting off earlier.
Clerk of the course Chris Stickels said: "Following two inches of snow to midday and the snow still falling racing has been abandoned.
"The snow is due to continue for the rest of the day and into the evening so there is no chance of a thaw so we had to abandon."
Saturday's jumps meetings at Haydock and Taunton had already been called off but there are still all-weather fixtures scheduled for Kempton and Lingfield that afternoon.
Talks are underway to reschedule both the Victor Chandler Chase and Haydock's Champion Hurdle Trial.
Friday will be a rare blank day in Britain after snow forced the abandonment of Chepstow's jumps card and the all-weather meetings at Lingfield and Wolverhampton.
Dundalk's evening all-weather fixture, due to start at 5.50, will provide the only action of the day.
