Big Brown shapes up for Monmouth Stakes
BIG BROWN worked six furlongs on the turf course at Aqueduct on Wednesday in advance of his return to racing on grass in the Monmouth Stakes on Saturday week.
The dual Classic winner completed the workout in 1min 15.68sec under Michelle Nevin, much to the delight of trainer Rick Dutrow.
He said: "I loved it. It was as good as you'd ever want to see."
The Monmouth, run over 1m 1f at Monmouth Park, will serve as Big Brown's final prep for the Breeders' Cup Classic at Santa Anita on October 25.
Dutrow said Big Brown would be given one more piece of work prior to the Monmouth race.
