Another Grade 1 win for Tough Tiz's Sis

REPORT: USA, Saturday
Saratoga: Ruffian Handicap (Grade 1, 1m1/2f, dirt)

TOUGH TIZ'S SIS ran away with the Grade 1 Saratoga Ruffian Handicap by more than 12 lengths at odds of 4-1 under Edgar Prado, after her favoured stablemate Indian Blessing was declared a non-runner.

She went to the front after a quick six furlongs in1min 9.04sec and ran on strongly.

"She has been training very well all I told Edgar was to be sure to keep this filly's face clean," said trainer Bob Baffert.

"She doesn't like dirt in her face. Last year at the Breeders' Cup (run over sloppy going at Monmouth Park) she got caught behind horses and got dirt in her face and it was a complete disaster."

The victory marked the second Grade 1 victory for Tough Tiz's Sis, who also won the Grade 1 Lady's Secret stakes at Santa Anita last October, having most recently finished third in the Grade 2 Clement L. Hirsch Handicap at Del Mar behind the unbeaten Zenyatta.
