TOTESPORT Trophy top-weight Blue Bajan, a 33-1 shot with the sponsor, was on Monday confirmed an intended runner by trainer Andy Turnell.
The Dr John Hollowood-trained eight-year-old is rated 12lb superior to his closest competitor and will have to give lumps of weight away to his 27 rivals
Speaking after Blue Bajan had worked on Monday, Turnell said: "He had a setback last week but he's over that. He cantered on Sunday and today, and he will have his final piece of work on Tuesday. Nick Scholfield rides.
"It's a very difficult task but it's a handicap so he's got to have an outside chance at a big price.
"There was the possibilityof the Kingwell the following Saturday, but we thought we might as well run in the Totesport as it's much more valuable.
"The only thing that will stop him running at Newbury is if it came up bottomless."
