Favourite Hold On Julio misses Sky Bet Chase

ANTE-POST favourite Hold On Julio has been ruled out of Saturday's Sky Bet Chase at Doncaster.

The nine-year-old was a general 7-2 chance for the 3m contest but trainer Alan King withdrew him from the line-up on Friday after he was reported to be off colour.

King told his website: "Julio breezed this morning and I was not happy with him, and it has transpired that he has a dirty scope.

"It is disappointing as he looked to have a big chance, but that's racing. We'll get him right before making further plans."

After Hold On Julio's defection, Shakalakaboomboom and Qianshan Leader were promoted to 6-1 joint-favourites with Ladbrokes, who also offer 7-1 about Galaxy Rock - the mount of champion jockey Tony McCoy.
