FRED WINTER winner Sanctuaire will be the sole representative of trainer Paul Nicholls in the Matalan Anniversary 4-Y-O Novices Hurdle at Aintree on Thursday after the champion trainer opted to run him instead of Escort'men, who won the Williamhill.com Dovecote Novices' Hurdle at Kempton in February.
JCB Triumph Hurdle runner-up Barizan runs, along with Olofi, who was ninth in the same race and represents the in-form Tom George.
The well-regarded pair of Me Voici and Super Kenny, who both missed the Cheltenham Festival, are among 11 who have been declared.
Fred Winter second and third, Notus De La Tour, who is on 7lb better terms for a nine length defeat, and Orsippus re-oppose, while Drussell is the sole Irish challenger.
Escort'men still has an entry for the Grade 2 John Smith's Top Novices' Hurdle on Friday.
