ANDREAS WOHLER was made to sweat as an objection was announced to the victory of Nice Danon (Eduardo Pedroza) who made all in the Zukunfts-Rennen on Friday at Baden-Baden.
The Sakhee colt just held off the late challenge of the filly Salona in the final furlong, and the two did get close, prompting the objection from connections of the runner up. However the objection was overruled and the 92-10 chance landed the Group 3 prize.
Wohler said: "I've never won this race before, but have been disqualified in it, and hoped the same wouldn't happen again. But all's well that ends well and the stewards rejected the objection.
"This is a nice horse and we'll probably look to run him next in the Preis des Winterfavoriten at Cologne next month."
Earlier on the card the Harry Dunlop-trained Arrivederla led to the two furlong pole in the Listed Coolmore Stud Baden-Baden Cup, but weakened quickly afterwards to finish last of eleven.
