Cologne, Sauren Dachfonds Grand Prix-Aufgalopp, (Listed) 1m2½f, 4yo+, 4.10pm GMT
THIS race sees the seasonal debut of last year's German Derby winner Waldpark (Andreas Wöhler/ Eduardo Pedroza), who has to concede weight all round.
After his Hamburg triumph he flopped twice, but trainer Wöhler said: "He is excused his Deauville effort, as he pulled off a shoe and finished sore, but we still don't know what went wrong at Baden-Baden.
"However I am very happy with him right now, and if he runs well, as I expect, we will be looking at the top middle distance events for him, such as the Prix Ganay."
Main opposition at Cologne should come from his fellow four-year-olds Silvaner (Peter Schiergen/ Andrasch Starke), well beaten in the Derby but in front of Waldpark at Baden-Baden, the lightly-raced Atempo (Jens Hirschberger/ Adrie de Vries), and Fair Boss (Waldemar Hickst/ Alexander Pietsch), runner-up to the ill-fated Fox Hunt in the German St. Leger.
Jockey Freddie Tylicki also returns to the city where he spent his childhood to partner Pavel Vovcenko's Mighty Mouse.
