McCoy set to leave hospital on Thursday
CHAMPION jockey Tony McCoy hopes to be back home on Thursday morning after spending seven nights in hospital with cracked ribs sustained following a heavy fall at Cheltenham last week.
McCoy was unseated from his boss JP McManus's Quantitativeeasing in a handicap hurdle and was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. He initially expected to be released by doctors last Friday but after taking further advice decided to stay in hospital.
McCoy hopes to make his first appearance in public since the fall at Sandown on Saturday when he will be crowned champion jump jockey for the 18th time.
