Ground key to Darjina plans

DARJINA could be set for another trip to Hong Kong if the wet spell continues in England.

Alain de Royer-Dupre's consistent filly finished second behind Goldikova for the second consecutive race in the Prix du Moulin on Sunday, with stablemate Sageburg fourth.

While De Royer-Dupre would like to run Darjina in the Sun Chariot at Newmarket on October 4, she will only line up if the ground was decent.

Darjina and Sageburg are very well after Sunday," said De Royer-Dupre.

"It is quite frustrating that Darjina hasfinished second every time this year but she is running very well - I think she just needs better ground.

"She is entered in the Sun Chariot at Newmarket and if the ground is too soft, we will wait for the races in Hong Kong.

"Sageburg ran well and maybe we will go to Ascot for the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes."
