You Mind Me races to Ladbrokes Pall Mall final
Oxford, where You Mind Me proved himself tops in the Ladbrokes Pall Mall
PICTURE: STEVE NASHYOU MIND ME completed an unbeaten run through the Ladbrokes Pall Mall when making all to land Tuesday’s feature event, live on Sky from Oxford.
Owned by Vicky Whitton, the victory prompted scenes of delight from trainer Frank Taylor and his assistant Micky Douglass, with Taylor particularly thanking physio Ron Mills for his help in getting the dog right following an injury sustained in the third round of the Derby.
You Mind Me, described by Taylor as a sprinter who doesn’t break well, this time came away and beat defending champion Brittons Empire up, before holding Chris Allsopp’s kennelmate Smart Bid by a length in a fastest of the night 26.89sec. Farloe Mysterio battled on for third.
You Mind Me was returned 3/1J on a night when the track’s bookmakers won plaudits from Sky’s ring reporters for betting to unusually low margins.
You Mind Me now goes for the William Hill Classic at Sunderland.
Mark Wallis, on a night when the retirement of his Derby hero Blonde Snapper was announced (see separate story), notched a double through Lil Risky and Blonde Fletch.
There was also a Guinness double for Seamus and Teresa Cahill through Guinness Kev (27.28sec) and Trafalgar Cup hero Guinness Dusty (26.92sec) who won what may prove to be his final pups race before taking on all-aged company.

**In a busy spell, Sky Sports 2 on Saturday will show the final of the Bettor.com Northern Irish Derby from Drumbo Park, Belfast, then on Tuesday on the same channel, the final of the Betfred Gymcrack will feature.
On Saturday week Sky breaks new ground by going to Tralee to cover the Betdaq Race of Champions.
