SILVERVIEW PERKY stamped herselfas one of the best four-bend bitches in years with a simply stunning success in the williamhill.com Oaks over 480 metres at Wimbledon on Thursday night.

The January '10 daughter of Head Bound turned the bitches' Classic into a procession, leading from trap-rise and drawing further and further away to slam 40-1 runner-up Droopys Aretha by six and a quarter lengths, her 28.40sec time on a rain-saturated track comparing most favourably to earlier winners at the meeting.

Bitches don't have a good record in the williamhill.com Derby, but it would be a foolish punter who omits Silverview Perky, a big 30.5 kilo bitch, from calculations for the 2012 premier Classic purely because of her sex.

Trainer Charlie Lister, who was completing a full set of major-race triumphs with Silverview Perky's win, said: "She's as good a bitch as I've had - and I've had some good ones. She's really top-class."

Razldazl Rioga, the other eye-catcher on an excellent card, received a 25-1 quote for the Derby from the sponsors after gaining an impressive all-the-way head verdict over solid yardstick Boher Paddy in the top division of the 480-metre open. He clocked 28.78sec.

Trapping well, Dolores Ruth's black went up fast and, crucially, ran a superior second bend to Boher Paddy to open up a two-length advantage that he never appeared in danger of surrendering, despite the runner-up's late, late lunge.

Ruth said: "Razldazl Rioga is a high-class greyhound. His run in the Laurels was awesome. He's right up there."

Lil Risky continued his climb up the sprinting ladder with a commanding three-and-three-quarter-length success over French Blue in the two-bend affair, clocking 16.07sec for 273 metres.

Local Dee Jay spun the right tune as far as trap-one backers were concerned, running on strongly to thwart a plunge on williamhill.com Derby semi-finalist Destroy The Camp in division two of the 480-metre open.

Second leg of a double for bang-in-form trainer Kelly Findlay, who had earlier been on the mark with Kingsmill Super, the son of Hallucinate, part-owned byWest Ham United coach Wally Downes, recorded 28.73sec in his two-and-a-quarter-length victory.

Skywalkershearer, the 5-4 favourite, ran on strongly to wear down Droopys Minnie in the stayers' event over 687 metres (42.56sec), while Capoley Ash romped the marathon, stopping the 894-metre clock at 56.45sec.

** Hills Thursday night announced that the 2012 Leger and Oaks would carry £15,000 prizes.
