SKYWALKER LOUIE pulled off a 10-1 surprise to give Sheffield's 'first lady', Elaine Parker, a local triumph in the Betfred Steel City Cup final.

Skywalker Louie, breaking well, showed the better early pace to edge ahead of favourite Slick Santiago and kept on well for what proved a convincing Category One victory for the Mickey Fitz Consortium, scoring by three lengths in 28.77sec.

Slick Santiago, crowded at the first and between the bottom bends, tired on the run in as Boher Paddy, bumped at the first, ran on for second.  Bit View Royal, a kennelmate of the winner, also ran well to take third.

There was trebles on the supporting card for Barrie Draper and Stuart Mason - topped by the latter's track record romp from Ballyard Buddy, who shattered the clock with an impressive 42.33sec run.

Earlier Mason also sent out good priced winners in Pats Legacy (7-2) and Granard Bound (13-2).

Draper fans cheered the victories of Kowloon Conner (2-1), Fire Height Spec (11-10F) and Farloe Spitfire (6-4F).

Sky Sports action returns next Tuesday from Sittingbourne with the finals of the Cearnsport Grand National and John Smith's Kent Derby.
