Rossacredibility back on track at Wimbledon?
ROSSACREDIBILITY, one-time leading contender for the Blue Square Derby, bids to get his career back on track when contesting a 460-metre open at Wimbledon tonight.
The son of Just The Best earned many an admirer prior to the premier Classic with five dynamic early-paced displays, which saw him trade as short as 12-1 for outright honours on the eve of the premier Classic.
However, Rossacredibility crashed out in the first round behind Commander Chief and worse was to follow several weeks later when he was disqualified for aggressive interference in a two-dog trial against Legal Major at Walthamstow.
Lister said yesterday: "He's had his clearing trials, and gone well. I was very pleased with his trial at Hove, and there have been no problems whatsoever. Walthamstow said he did something naughty - that's their opinion - and we weren't able to go to Sunderland for the William Hill Classic with him after that.
"Rossacredibility is a very good dog, and I would think he'd go well at Wimbledon tomorrow. Obviously, he could do with a couple of races having been off for so long, but he's in decent form at home."
Rossacredibility will need to show his famed dash to the turn, with the likes of evergreen Cobra Striking, the Seamus Cahill-trained Milldean Flash and Tony Lucas's Ibetx Dot Com in opposition.
Meanwhile, Lister reports last week's brilliant Betfair East Anglian Derby champion Ninja Jamie to be in fine form ahead of an autumn campaign which has yet to be set in stone.
The champion trainer said: "I think we'll probably go for the Eclipse at Nottingham next month, and just see what comes along before then. He's come out of Yarmouth really well, and I thought he was absolutely brilliant that night.
"Him and his brother [Farloe Reason] are still relatively young dogs, and hopefully they'll be serious contenders for the Derby at Wimbledon again next summer."
