PAMS TOMJO put the Cab-It Silver Salver final to bed with a rocket break at Sittingbourne to make all for the £750 prize in 27.28sec - the same time as he clocked in the heats. The race was the Sunday feature on the betting shop Bags service.

Wayne Wrighting's dog last year, when in the charge of the Brian Clemenson, made the 480m Kent Derby final which was held on the same night as the Silver Salver - but this term the two events were staged separately and this proved a more suitable trip.

Often unlucky when it mattered, Pams Tomjo did take the £5,000 Lol Jones Memorial 416 at Monmore last December

Lenson Teddy, defending his Salver title, plugged on to take second nearly four lengths adrift after Inni Black had been second up. Slowly away Kingsmill Super, and Sable Blitz collided on the second turn.

Earlier Lenson Ginger took the 480m maiden final for Tony Collett, disputing early with Crossyourfingers before kicking on at the third bend to score by a length and a quarter in 29.28sec

Lughill Paulo, backed from 3/1 into 7/4F, broke slowly and was crowded at the turn, but ran on well for third.

Cloon Rocket was bowled over at the bend after bumping with Roman Fantasy.

The 708m maiden initially saw the traps fail to open, and Hayley Keightley's Tregyrnog Lad, a 4/7 chance, subsequently walked out after the fault was rectified. However, he showed a good burst of pace to lead at half way, although was tiring on the run in as he held 20/1 poke Benro Spot by half a length in 44.73sec

Earlier Barry O'Sullivan notched a double with Mullpark Too over jumps and Moyar Mac (27.57sec)  in the 450m maiden.
