THERE was a quality turn out for the heats of Coral On TV Standard competition at Romford on Monday night where Mountjoy Osprey was a most impressive winner of heat three.
Mark Wallis's charge sprinted ahead on the run to the first corner and quickly surged clear to record a 5 1/2L success in a night's best time of 24.07sec.
Earlier, Paul Young's Millwards Matt had set the standard when getting up on the line to short-head Trappers Corner in a time of 24.35sec.
Heat two then saw a command performance from the odds-on jolly Nans Turbo. Ernie Gaskin's star was matched to the first bend by  All Jack but the desire and drive into the first corner shown by Nans Turbo was different class and he soon stretched clear for a comfortable 5 1/4L success in 24.11sec.

The evening Bags card at Nottingham was headed by the Corona Dual Distance Trophy final (480m) for which Caribbean Rich was a runaway winner. Bob Hall's black, who had posted the fastest heat (305m) time, was sent off the 2-1 favourite and scored byseven lengths in a speedy 28.73sec.

The programme also included a brace of heats of the Magners Dual Distance competition. These were run over the 500-metre course whilst next Monday's decider will be over 660m.
The first eliminator saw Lenny Troughton's Mays Stewart justify odds-on status when slipping clear (aided by crowding) around the first two bends and go on to beat Fabulous Pin by 6 1/2L in an impressive 29.96sec.
The second heat went to Chris Allsopp's Boherna Bridge (7-4F) who also made all in a less dynamic 30.23sec.
